Some thoughts on Journaling
Blogging and journaling have gotten a bad reputation in the Internet’s more mature, recent years.
Back in my teenage years
In the late 90s and early 2000s websites like LiveJournal, Blogger, and Xanga dominated the social web. People shared their lives, their intentions, their frustrations and emotions through writings. yEs tHey WeRe sOmewHat oBnoXioUs at the time (just kids being kids). But we were writing. Quick-but social media sites like Friendster, Myspace, Facebook, and the like were virtually non-existant.
As we grew in to adulthood
As the Internet matured, we’ve abandoned our writing. Journaling and blogging was left behind with the rest of the trends from the dawn of the Millenium.
Lifehacker had a great article a few years ago about why you should keep a journal.
Start a journal.
It’s not just for kids. You’ll benefit from it.
This will be a place for anything.
A deluge from my head.
It can be therapeutic.
Create things.
Don’t overthink them.
Be succinct.
That’s all for now 😛
